Standard lessons are conducted in 2 hour slots and completed in small groups of 2. This ensures all students have the correct level of attention when learning to kiteboard. Our private lessons cater for individual learning with 1-2-1 tuition. 

Our objective: is fast & fun learning, with paramount safety.

Through our personnel experience it takes an average of between 6 to 10 hours of lessons to learn how to kiteboard.
We teach students that are complete beginners to advanced riders looking to develop in freestyle jumps and tricks. 

Le Morne Kite School offers lessons that take place every day from 10am until 6pm Monday to Sunday on a wide and shallow bay at Kite Lagoon, Le Morne, Mauritius.

The spot is quite simply the most ideal location to learn and further develop your kiteboarding skills. Conditions do not get better than Kite Lagoon, Mauritius.

With complete beginners we aim to teach you the key basic skills which involve the correct movements and how to react in all types of situations. Lessons begin with theory and safety.  You will learn how to setup your kite, bar and harness as well as understand how the safety systems on your kite and harness work. This is followed by how to analyse the current conditions (wind direction and hazards).  We then move on to the really fun stuff, the practice. Our goal here is to spend as much time as possible in the water. Beginner lessons consist of various exercises of control of the kite, this includes, launching, landing, body drag and many more exercises. We also teach students a thorough understanding of the power zone along with the wind window.
 
It is then, when we feel you are confident in all aspects that we move you on to a board. You will be taught how to stand on the board, how to launch with your board, board control, board edges, riding upwind, riding downwind and your first attempts at jumps! 

Reservations are made with a simple email confirmation, after confirmation a 10% deposit will be required by bank transfer or via Paypal!

At the end of the course, you can buy your IKO card which will certify your level according to your skills. With the kiteboarder IKO card, you can easily continue learning at all IKO certified centers around the world without having to start all over again from the beginning.
